St George Town, Grenada

Fort George

Located 175 feet above the harbour of St George’s and built by the French as Fort Royal between 1705 and 1710, Fort George in Grenada figured largely in the Seven Years War (French and Indian War in US) in the American Revolution (as Fort George), and the French Revolution, the Grenadian Revolution (as Fort Rupert), and in the US-Caribbean intervention of 1983, and is well.
