Beyond the hustle and bustle of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the UAE is also home to the lesser-known state of Ras Al Khaimah. Emerging slowly but surely, this up and coming destination appeal to those looking for a more laid-back destination.

There is a small selection of luxury hotels including the Waldorf Astoria where Nathan stayed and two Ritz Carlton properties, one of which is desert based. Whilst it is much quieter than Dubai, and that is much of its charm; there is plenty to keep you occupied including a world-class water park, water sports, desert activities, hiking and the worlds largest zip line!
