48 hours in Las Vegas31.07.15 | Nathan Collins
With so much to see and do, where does one start on a luxury holiday to Las Vegas?
Firstly, get your bearings. If your hotel is based in the middle of The Strip, thats perfect as you will immediately see where the other resorts are located with adverts for shows and events lining the road, even better if you have a Strip-view room, you can simply drop your bags and study your location on Las Vegas straight away!
Pinpoint a few hot spots, put on your walking shoes and away you go. Our favourite hotels to explore would be the Venetian, Bellagio and New York New York with its amazing roller coaster.
Spend the afternoon playing some slots and trying your luck before dinner and a concert or show in the evening.
On your second day, get ready to be picked up by your private limousine for your short journey just outside Las Vegas, where you will be whisked off by helicopter to fly over the amazing Hoover Dam following by a tour of the Grand Canyon. Enjoy a landing in one of the canyons themselves, and a picnic lunch with some bubbles for that special occasion!
Back to Vegas for the afternoon for some rest and relaxation by the pool, or maybe some retail therapy if you are so inclined.
Tonight its time to venture towards old Las Vegas and travel to the top of the Stratosphere restaurant where we have made dinner reservations for you to see the best view in Vegas in this revolving restaurant.
Alas, your 48 hours in Vegas is nearly at an end but there is just enough time left to try your luck again in one of the many casinos, or if you prefer, visit a couple more hotels up close to marvel at their colossal themed architecture while taking in the fabulous fountains outside the Bellagio.
48 hours probably isn’t long enough for a holiday to Las Vegas but this will give you a quick glimpse of what you can get up to. The city is perfect as a destination in itself for a long weekend or more, or to tag onto the start of end of your holiday around Nevada, Arizona and California.Explore Las Vegas
