Celebrating Norwegian’s 1st Year at Birmingham
30.03.16 | Nathan CollinsOur Director Nathan joined colleagues from Norwegian Airlines this month to celebrate their first anniversary at Birmingham Airport. Norwegian is the fastest growing airline at Birmingham Airport having launched more new routes than any other airline over the past year. Over 125,000 passengers have flown Norwegian to five destinations from Birmingham – Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga and since November, Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
Nathan comments ‘We have been working with Norwegian since before they started flying from Birmingham, on it’s routes to Scandinavia through our sister brand www.IceHotels.co.uk and it was great to hear the news a year ago when they decided to operate from Birmingham. They offer new, comfortable aircraft with onboard wifi and a friendly service, giving other budget airlines from Birmingham a run for their money!’
From June, Norwegian will increase its service to Malaga with four weekly flights in time for the summer getaway.
Norwegian first launched flights from Birmingham in March 2015 and has grown to become the 16th largest airline operating at Birmingham Airport.
