Six Senses Yao Noi

A truly unique five-star retreat with superb pool villa accommodations.

If you are seeking a truly special, James Bond-style luxury island holiday in Thailand, then Six Senses Yao Noi is perfect. This five-star luxury resort has a particular focus on natural materials and wellness, and is popular with honeymooners and those seeking a relaxing slow-paced getaway.

This is the second Six Senses Resort and Spa that I visited during my visit to Thailand – the first was in Koh Samui. This retreat is much smaller but the facilities are excellent. As you arrive on your water taxi (around 60 minutes in total by road and boat from Phuket Airport) you can view the villas dotted around a lush peninsula. Most come with their own private pool and are extremely spacious.

As with all of the Six Senses properties, renewable materials have been used where possible and this gives the resort an earthy quality – you could call it barefoot luxury. This is luxury for the modern traveller who respects nature without compromising on quality time in a peaceful, natural setting.

The villas are excellently appointed with everything you would expect from a five-star resort, and that added Six Senses touch for a more natural, authentic experience.

Views from the resort are stunning – you can spend hours simply staring at the horizon or watching the fishing boats crawl past.

The service is excellent but not intense, giving you space to relax while others take care of your every wish. Wellness programmes and an excellent spa round off this unique, beautiful resort, which is bound to be one of the most unique experiences for your next holiday to Thailand.

Facilities: two restaurants, in-villa dining options, one bar, private beach, Six Senses Spa, gym, tennis courts, Thai cooking classes and wine tasting
