Days 4-5: Halong Bay
Drive to the world heritage site of Halong Bay. Board the luxurious Au Co for a 2-night cruise. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Lào Cai
Watch the sun rise over the bay, then disembark and transfer to Hanoi for the Victoria Express train to Lào Cai. Overnight in a private cabin. (B, L)
Days 7-8: Sapa
Arrive in Lào Cai, then spend 2 days exploring the Muong Hoa valley, visiting villages and markets. Stay 2 nights at the Victoria Sapa Resort & Spa. (B, L)
Day 9: Hanoi
Morning walk in the mountains, then afternoon drive back to Hanoi. Overnight at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi. (B)
Day 10: Fly to Hué
Fly to Hue, the 19th-century Nguyen capital. Afternoon visit to the royal tombs of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. Dinner at a restored royal home. Stay 2 nights at La Résidence Hue. (B)
Day 11: Hué
Morning at leisure. Afternoon cycle ride to the Imperial Citadel and Thien Mu pagoda. (B, L)
Day 12: Hoi An
Drive over the Hai Van Pass to Hoi An. Stay 2 nights at the Hotel Royal Hoi An. (B, L)
Day 13: Hoi An
Morning city tour, including the 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge. (B)
Days 14-15: Fly to Ho Chi Minh City
Drive to Danang and fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Afternoon city tour. Following day is at leisure. Stay 2 nights at the Park Hyatt Saigon. (B, D)
