Ultimate Nile Cruise

With this 11 day tour you will cruise the length of Egypt visiting Lower, Middle and Upper Egypt. It is the perfect way to see the best of Egypt’s classical and ancient sights along the Nile, from Cairo to Luxor and Aswan as well as the the magnificent treasures and exciting atmosphere of Cairo.

Itinerary  (12 day day example, also offered up to 14 nights, ask for details)

Day 1 Luxor:
Fly to Luxor and transfer to the Jaz Royale. Overnight on board in Luxor.

Day 2 West Bank:
Visit the West bank of the Nile including the two Colossi of Memnon, The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari and the Valley of the Kings. Afternoon at leisure in Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.

Day 3 Temple of Karnak:
Morning visit to the Temple of Karnak and Temple of Luxor. In the afternoon, sail north to Qena. Dinner and overnight on board in Qena.

Day 4 Denderah:
Visit the Temple of Hathor at Denderah, which houses the chapel of the Goddess Nut. Afternoon at leisure while sailing to Naga Hamadi. Dinner and overnight on board in Naga Hamadi.

Day 5 Abydos:
Sail to El Balyana and visit Abydos Temple. Afternoon at leisure while sailing to Sohag. Dinner and overnight on board in Sohag

Day 6 Tel Amarna:
Enjoy the day sailing to Tel Amarna via Assiut. Dinner and overnight on board in Tel Amarna.

Day 7 Tel El Amarna:
Visit Tel El Amarna, the capital of the Sun-God. Visit the northern tombs including Tomb of Ahmose , Tomb of Meryre , Tomb of Pentu , Tomb of Panehesy , Royal Tomb of Akhenaten . The Great Palace of King Akhenaten, The Small and great temples of Aten. After lunch, cross to the West Bank of the Nile and visit Tuna El Gabal and Ashmunein, Hermopolis and the well preserved ancient water system. Continue sailing to Minya. Dinner and overnight on board in Minya.

Day 8 Beni Hassan Tombs:
Visit tombs of Beni Hassan including the Tomb of Baqet III, Tomb of Khety , Tomb of Amenemhet, Tomb of Khnumhotep II. Afternoon sailing to Beni Suef. Dinner and overnight on board in Beni Suef.

Day 9 Cairo:
Day at leisure while sailing north to Cairo. Dinner and overnight on board in Cairo.

Day 10 Pyramids & Sphinx:
Visit the great Pyramids of Giza & Sphinx and the step Pyramid of King Zoser at Sakkara. Dinner and overnight on board in Cairo.

Day 11 Egyptian Museum & Citadel:
Visit the Egyptian Museum and Citadel. Afternoon at leisure or optional tour (approx. £43) of Old Cairo, known as Christian Coptic Cairo, also visit the Church of Abu-Sergah and St.Barbara, the hanging church, and the old Jewish Ben Ezra Synagogue. Dinner and overnight on board in Cairo.

Day 12 Disembarkation:
Disembarkation and transfer to Cairo airport or post-cruise hotel.

Accommodation: The Jaz Royale

The Jaz Royale features 48 Guest cabins of which 21 are on the Main Deck and 24 on the Upper deck.In addition 3 Lower deck cabins are available with no single supplement. All cabins (22 square metres) are air-conditioned and the Main and Upper Deck cabins have large panoramic sliding windows. Satellite TV and in-house video channels (only whilst docking), mini bar, music system, safety box and private W/C with shower and hairdryer.

The main restaurant accommodates all passengers in one sitting and offers a mix of local and international buffet style cuisine. Accommodation is on a full-board basis with daily tea time service including snacks and cakes. On the Upper deck there is a large lounge and bar and at the front also a panoramic lounge.

The Sun deck with sun loungers is split over 2 levels and has a small swimming pool and jacuzzi.
